Physiotherapist playing with baby

Hello!

Hi, I’m Roslyn!

I'm a Mackay girl who moved to Sydney to dance : (Cert IV Performing Arts - Brent St Studios, and Diploma of Classical Ballet ARAD)

and study at The University of Sydney (B.AppSc (Physiotherapy) 2015).

With my dance / pilates background and over 8 years of experience as a Physiotherapist I aim for thorough analysis of movement and striving for quality alignment and movement.

I moved back to Mackay to work at Mackay Base Hospital,

and have gained experience across multiple areas of Physiotherapy,

including senior and extensive experience in Paediatric Physiotherapy.

I have learnt from a plethora of advanced therapists and consultants from around the country, including Melbourne and Brisbane.

I fell in love with Paediatrics while at Sydney Children’s Hospital.

I have trained predominantly in Paediatric physiotherapy: my clinical passion.

I have extensive post-graduate training in Paediatric Physiotherapy.

Having worked in senior roles regionally has given me a variety of experience to treat a range of conditions including complex respiratory, neurodegenerative, palliative and neurological conditions.

I have co-authored a published research systematic review on

"The Effectiveness of Dance Interventions on Physical Health Outcomes Compared to Other Forms of Physical Activity: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis. (2018)"

This paper has been presented internationally.

I love working with families and the inter-disciplinary team.

I take a holistic, fun and strengths based approach.

I am an optimistic and positive person;

I value seeing each child with all the potential to live a full life that is important to them and your family.

My role is to help you achieve what is important to you and your family and feel empowered and confident.

I value the importance of the family unit and have seen so many times how parents are the expert of their child.

As a mum of two young children, I understand how busy life is and believe that my role as a physiotherapist is to work with your family unit in coaching and guiding therapy as an every day part of your family life.
